AI PM Setup Scorecard

Score how systematic your AI setup is as a product manager. Eight questions, about two minutes, a 0–100 score with your biggest gaps — free, no signup, and your result is yours to share with a link.

The rubric reflects how I run my own PM workspace — it scores your setup, not your skill as a PM.

How scoring works

The scorecard asks one question per dimension of an AI PM setup: tooling, reusable skills, context, data access, workflows, quality control, improvement loop, portability. Each answer scores 0–3 points based on how systematic it is — from “starting from scratch every time” up to “versioned and repeatable”. The total is normalized to a 0–100 score.

  • 0–29 · Manual.AI isn't part of your operating system yet. You're doing everything the hard way — which also means the fastest gains are still ahead of you.
  • 30–54 · Chat-assisted.You use AI, but most of the leverage stays in the chat window. Every session starts from zero, and nothing you learn carries over.
  • 55–79 · Systematizing.A real setup is forming: reusable pieces, some context, some structure. Your weakest dimensions are what separate you from a compounding system.
  • 80–100 · Operating system.Your setup compounds: skills, context, workflows, and review loops feed each other. Keep tightening the weakest dimension.

This is an editorial rubric based on my own workspace, not an industry benchmark — there are no percentile claims here, and up to three of your weakest dimensions (any you score 0 or 1 on) come back as concrete next steps.

Frequently asked questions

What does the AI PM Setup Scorecard measure?

It measures how systematic your AI setup is as a product manager, across eight dimensions: tooling, reusable skills, context, data access, workflows, quality control, improvement loop, and portability. It scores the setup, not you — a strong PM with an ad-hoc setup will score low, and that's the point.

Where does the scoring rubric come from?

It's the rubric I use for my own PM workspace and the same structure behind AI PM OS: versioned skills, maintained context files, guided workflows, and review subagents. It's an opinionated editorial rubric, not an industry benchmark or a survey of other PMs.

Are my answers stored anywhere?

There's no scorecard account or database — scoring runs in your browser, and your result lives there and in the share URL if you copy it. Like every page on this site, the scorecard sends anonymous usage analytics (which answers were picked, the score, and the tier) so I can see how it's used and improve it. Nothing is tied to your name or email.

Can I share my result?

Yes. After answering all eight questions, copy the share link — it encodes your answers in the URL, so anyone who opens it sees the same answers, score, and recommendations.

Want the setup already built?

AI PM OS is the maintained workspace behind this rubric: versioned skills, context files, guided workflows, and review subagents, kept current against Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
